Meet the founders

RYAN SHEPPARD

📍 London

First and foremost a storyteller, Ryan has been a senior content executive and corporate editor-in-chief across LSEG, Refinitiv, and Thomson Reuters, and has a passion for developing talent, driving innovation, and convening both people and ideas. Ryan takes pride in maximizing a company’s resources to drive impact across digital channels and is particularly gifted at partnering with a company’s subject matter experts to create compelling and accessible insights.

He’s spoken at events around the world and loves helping to shape future business leaders through his work with Exeter University.

Ryan has lived and worked in the UK, Switzerland, USA, and Australia and holds a Bachelor's degree in marketing from Curtin University, Western Australia.

JOEL LEEMAN

📍 Minneapolis-Saint Paul

Joel Leeman is a seasoned content strategist and executive producer. He is the host of Connection Request, a podcast about career journeys.

Prior to his adventures in entrepreneurship, Joel spent a decade in global content leadership roles with brands including the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), FTSE Russell, Refinitiv, and Thomson Reuters.

Joel started his career in social media, which took him around the world, along the way interviewing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and covering high-profile events like the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos and the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Joel loves spending his time on career mentorship and also works with several nonprofits including the Hennepin Theatre Trust’s board of directors. With deep roots in the music world, Joel is also a freelance musician, playing with a jazz band in Minneapolis and occasionally sitting in as a studio musician on friends’ recording projects.
